What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They're really saying I love you.

I hear babies crying, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world.

  • good morning willy,

i'm up super early today for me. been up since a little after 5am. good song choice, only i'm not hearing the music. it really is a wonderful world. in spite of all the negative things that sometime take place, there are so many beautiful people that help to make up this world and many beautiful places to see and go. i remember so vividly louis armstrong singing this song. i'm glad i got to be a part of his music while he was living. have a wonderful day!

    hugs & blessings,

  • willy, that story you just posted on francesca's blog about women and the restroom is the funniest story i've read in a long time. i am laughing so hard, i'm almost needing to go the restroom myself. the good thing is i'm at home so my adventure will be a whole lot different. you nailed that story right on the head.

that story should go to a magazine, along with dale's story about robert's gift, for publishing. while the restroom story is true, it is sooooooo funny. you were funnier than jay, dave, and jimmy all put together tonite. thanks for my before bedtime laughter.

I refuse to turn on the furnace just yet. brrrrrrr "coldy cold" here. Bunny is all curled up on her little fuzzy blankey and not moving.

  • Good morning Sylvia and Peg :)
    Sylvia...
That funny story was sent to me in an e-mail...I don't know who wrote it but it made me laugh too :)
I'm glad I made you laugh...funnier than all three of those great comediams? Wow!
By the way, you're the only one who commented on that one...I guess everyone is losing
    their sense of humor... :)

    Peg...
It's also getting much cooler here in California...Yesterday's high was only 68 degrees and it looks like another cool one today...just 2 days ago it was 96! Whats' up with this crazy weather!
Hot tea...yum I love my Lipton hot tea in the morning and then I'm ready for coffee about 10 or 11.

Have a great weekend...I'm off to watch my grandaughters play soccer now...
    my word is plmpbgkz
this is what I get from it...
"plump because" I know why I'm plump...it's those snacks and sweets that I like :) I'll try to control myself...stop reminding me!

  • hi willy,

you're so funny. there's nothing plump about you. weight watchers is really doing their job--watching your weight. *lol*

i left comments on francesca's blog about you getting the emmy award for best comedian on her blog. a little humor goes a looooong way. *lol*

i'm not ready for cold weather yet. we're still pretty warm here. the mornings are in the 60's, but it's a warm 60 degrees. the days are in the 70's and 80's. i've been able to turn off my air conditioner for the most part, and use a fan. i'm sure my electric bill appreciates me for that. *lol*

enjoy your grandchildren and the soccer game today. chat later.

  • Hi Willy, I just posted over on Sylvia's site and noticed your remark that only she had commented on your tp joke. Sorry I didn't say anything before, but I really did roar with laughter. It was a good one, for sure! It's cloudy here today with bursts of sunshine every once in a while. My date stood me up - oh well, his losss. And I have another function at 4:00 so with have a good evening out. Hope the game went well.

  • Hey there y'all...thx for all the support. But honestly, I'm just fine. I had no expectations from him at all. Maybe he got the date mixed up and he'll call me tomorrow wondering why I stood HIM up. Yuk Yuk! I wrote it on my calendar as I was talking to him on the phone that day, tho'. I'm just movin' on, gals. Not available to him no matter what - as you say, no excuses.
