A touque is one of those woolly hats that are a "must" in most parts of Canada from about October to May. I saw your question on Leslie's blog, and I laughed...
Thanks for stopping my funny little blog as well. I will have some more pictures of my neighborhood this week.
Great shots, Willy. My Dad was a soccer player and is now in the BC Sports Hall of Fame for his skill plus volunteer work as a referee, linesman, and Commissioner throughout the years. It's a great cardio workout, one of which I was never able to do. In my day, there was no such thing a girls' soccer. But my younger daughter played for a while.
Hi Josie and Leslie Thanks for explaining what a touque is Josie...I had no idea about that one. I will definitely check out both of your blogs this week. I love seeing the pics of your homes and neighborhoods...Canada is absolutely beautiful and I really do hope to visit there some day. I really like the way you are taking your camera about town and photographing the sights to share on your blog...Good idea...I hope to do the same here. I'll do the same as Leslie and pretend to be scouting for a movie location...you gals are so smart! And none of the locals will ever know what I'm up to :) My verification word for this one is gooeumie...does that mean anything in Canada? :) Good thing it's too early for me to be drinking wine...maybe later :)
Leslie Interesting about your dad... Soccer certainly is a vigorous sport and I admire anyone who plays...I'm so glad that it's finally catching on in the US...both of my grandaughters are learning the sport also. The youngest (Alexandra) is real aggressive. Gabrielle on the other hand is very graceful...a little lady.
I bought a bike today. What a hoot. It's really cute. It's an eight-speed and it's silver with hibiscus flowers on it. So I will be tootling around my neighborhood on it. I can even ride it to work.
Oh, lord, iczkwepa. Will I get it right? Hah. Hey, I didn't get it right. I have to do it again....
Hi Josie...take a picture of your new bicycle for us...better yet...have someone else take a picture with you on it :) That's really neat that you can ride your bike to work with gas prices as high as they are.
My word this time is pommig...sounds like a fruit...let's see if I pass the sobriety test as Ellen would say :)
Josie, I did visit your blog and as usual enjoyed the pictures you've posted. I hope you'll keep adding new ones especially now that you have your shiny new bicycle with hibiscus flowers on it...I bet it's a beauty! where do they get these words? cfufxnky...looks like an old typing test from high school :(
